Merkel: Germany will live up to its Holocaust responsibility

German Chancellor Angela Merkel on Wednesday made major concessions to a junior political party, including giving up control of key ministries, to reach an agreement for a proposed new coalition government that would end months of uncertainty.

German Chancellor Angela Merkel says she won't interfere with a law that criminalizes certain statements about Poland's World War II history because, "as Germans, we are responsible for the things that happened during the Holocaust."
