Twitter to notify users exposed to Russian propaganda during U.S. elections

Twitter Inc. said it found another 1,062 accounts linked to the Russian government-backed Internet Research Agency accused of trying to influence the 2016 U.S. presidential election.

Twitter Inc , which is reviewing Russian interference during the 2016 U.S. elections, said on Friday it would notify some of its users whether they were exposed to content generated by a suspected Russian propaganda service.

The company had initially told congressional investigators it discovered more than 2,700 accounts linked to a shadowy so-called troll farm believed to have spread disinformation to sow political division among Americans.
